            4. And filling the needs of Society and Other Businesses
 
With almost 1.1 million households on Long Island, a coordinated effort toward a green economy will bring jobs, businesses and growth. The time to act is now and because of our size and captive audience, the concept for Long Island becoming a “Green” model through coordinated Green initiatives is achievable in the short term. 
 
Long Island’s unique demographics make it a perfect place to incubate and create a new and effective GREEN economy with Solar/Renewable Energy leading the charge. 
 
Once the model is proven, it will be duplicated throughout the State of NY and ultimately nationwide
